Updated October 2026

For an adults’ night out with dinner and a loud, funny show, Dracula’s is worth it by its guests’ account: 4.7 out of 5 from 33 reviews on GetYourGuide, as of October 2026, with praise for the singers, the aerial acts, the staff and the Ghost Train entrance. It is worth less to anyone who wants a quiet dinner, anyone under 16 (on this listing), or anyone who would rather spend A$125 to A$165 a person on the meal alone.

What guests say

The GetYourGuide rating is on a five-point scale. Recent reviews, quoted as written:

  • The show. “The acts were incredibly talented and had us gripped.” (jodean, United Kingdom, September 2026) “The acrobatic show and singers were amazing.” (Sandra, United Kingdom, October 2026)
  • The tone. “Such a great night was had, vibrant, exciting and a bit naughty.” (Ross, Australia, August 2026) “It was a polished entertaining night with a sense of humour.” (Carolyn, Australia, July 2026) “Lots of laughs as well as being scary!” (Rosie, Australia, July 2026)
  • The food and service. “The food was really good, the cocktails were quirky and fun with a good selection … The waiting staff were so prompt and attentive.” (jodean)
  • The way in. “The ghost train ride in, is a brilliant entrance into Draculas story telling of his trip across the ocean.” (jodean)

The same reviewer came with a group “ranging from teenagers to over 60” and wrote that “everyone came away smiling”.

Worth it if

  • You are celebrating. Birthdays, hens’ and bucks’ nights and big groups are what the venue is set up for, with group prices for 12 or more on B Reserve from Tuesday to Friday.
  • You want dinner and a show in one booking. Three courses are included, so the ticket replaces a restaurant bill, not just a theatre seat.
  • You like your comedy cheeky. The show is rated MA15+ for coarse language, sexual references and partial nudity, and that is part of the fun for its audience.

Think twice if

  • You are bringing anyone under 16. The minimum age is 16 for every booking.
  • You want to talk over dinner. Live rock music and a show running through the evening make it a loud night.
  • You are sensitive to strobe lighting, or anyone in your group should avoid the Ghost Train (pregnancy, back or heart problems, claustrophobia, epilepsy). Tell the box office when booking.
  • The budget is tight. Drinks are extra: cocktails cost A$24 to A$26. Midweek nights are A$10 cheaper per ticket than Friday and Saturday at the venue.

A Gold Coast institution

Dracula’s opened on the Gold Coast in 1985, five years after Tikki and John Newman started the first Dracula’s in Melbourne. The Melbourne venue closed in 2017; the Gold Coast one marked 40 years in 2025 and opened a new production, Abyss, on 19 August 2026. A fire closed the building for a time in 2023, when 225 guests were evacuated.
