Planning a Night at Dracula's Gold Coast

A Night at Dracula's, From the Ghost Train to the Last Act

What happens when, which ticket to pick, what you eat and drink, who the show suits, and how to get there and home again.

Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant in Broadbeach is a dinner-and-show night for adults: a Ghost Train ride into the theatre, three courses at your table and a three-part live show of rock music, aerial acrobatics and comedy, for guests aged 16 and over; the show is rated MA15+. It runs about three and a half hours from 7:00 or 7:30 pm, and starts from US$87 a person on GetYourGuide as of October 2026, rated 4.7 from 33 reviews. B Reserve is the standard ticket; A Reserve adds priority entry, better seats and a glass of sparkling wine.

What a night at Dracula’s is

Dracula’s has been on the Gold Coast since 1985, in a building between The Star Gold Coast and Pacific Fair that was once a shopping centre. The format is the same every night and different from a theatre show:

  • The way in. You enter through the Mausoleum and ride the Ghost Train, which delivers you to the theatre. A September 2026 reviewer called it “a brilliant entrance into Dracula’s story telling”.
  • Dinner. Three courses served at your table: a set entrée and dessert with a choice of main, from a menu that changes with the season.
  • The show. A three-part variety show through the evening. The current production, Abyss, premiered on 19 August 2026: live rock music, aerial acts, blacklight puppets and a darker theme than the venue’s earlier shows.

It is a comedy cabaret. The jokes are adult, the music is loud, and the aerial acts happen above the tables. Guests describe it as “vibrant, exciting and a bit naughty” and “a polished entertaining night with a sense of humour”.

A Reserve or B Reserve

Both tickets include the Mausoleum, the Ghost Train, the three-course dinner and the full show. The differences are the arrival time, the seats and one drink.

  • B Reserve is the standard ticket: doors at 7:30 pm, seats allocated on the night. At the venue it costs A$125 from Tuesday to Thursday and A$135 on Friday and Saturday, as of October 2026.
  • A Reserve opens the doors at 7:00 pm, seats you first in the best available seats and pours a glass of sparkling wine when you arrive: A$155 midweek, A$165 at the weekend.

Public holidays cost more at both levels, and New Year’s Eve is its own A$199 ticket with the show running into the midnight countdown. On GetYourGuide you choose A or B Reserve in the calendar; the night starts from US$87 a person, and the calendar shows the live price for your date. Dracula’s tickets and prices compares the two ways to buy in detail.

The evening, in order

  1. 7:00 or 7:30 pm. Doors open for your ticket level. There is no paper ticket; the name on the booking is enough. The bar opens with the doors, and the Blood Bank bar serves while you wait to go in.
  2. The Ghost Train. Into the theatre. It is up stairs and the venue advises against it in pregnancy or with back or heart problems, claustrophobia or epilepsy; tell the box office if anyone in your group should skip it.
  3. Dinner and the show. Three courses at your table and the three-part show. You order drinks from the table by QR code.
  4. About three to four hours after doors, the night ends: expect to leave between about 10:30 and 11:30 pm, an estimate, since the venue publishes no finishing time.

Show times and how long it runs has the detail.

Food and drinks

The September 2026 menu started with a twice-baked three-cheese soufflé, offered a choice of BBQ-glazed beef short rib, barramundi, roast chicken supreme or basil pesto cavatelli, and finished with the house dessert, a chocolate coffin with raspberry rose cheesecake. The kitchen caters for vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and egg-free diets when the box office is told in advance; it is a set banquet, so other requests cannot be met.

Drinks are not included, apart from A Reserve’s sparkling wine. On the August 2026 drinks menu, cocktails cost A$24 to A$26, a glass of wine A$12 to A$15, a beer A$8 to A$13 and a soft drink A$5. The Dracula’s menu and drinks lists it all.

Who it suits, and who it does not

The minimum age is 16 for every booking, raised from 15 on 1 April 2026, and the show is rated MA15+ for coarse language, sexual references, drug references and partial nudity. It is a natural choice for birthdays, hens’ and bucks’ nights, a group of friends or a couple who want a loud night out, and one reviewer’s group ran “from teenagers to over 60”. It is not a family show, and it is not a quiet dinner. The age limit explains the rating.

The dress code is smart casual with three exclusions: no board shorts, no singlets and no thongs. Dressing up in black or gothic style is welcome. The dress code has the detail.

Getting there

Dracula’s is at 1 Hooker Blvd, Broadbeach, about 250 metres from Broadbeach South light-rail station. Parking on site is free but limited, first come, first served, so the venue itself suggests a taxi or rideshare, which is also the sensible way home after a night at the bar. Parking and getting there has a map.

Buying here or at the box office

The venue sells tickets on its own website and by phone, and this guide links to GetYourGuide, which sells the same night. The facts that differ, as of October 2026:

  • Cancelling. The GetYourGuide booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the night, and you can reserve now and pay later. The venue’s stated policy for its own bookings is a date transfer, requested at least seven days ahead.
  • Prices. The venue lists prices in Australian dollars by night of the week and adds a A$4.90 booking fee; GetYourGuide shows its price in your currency for your date.
  • Extras. Group discounts for 12 or more, cakes and gift vouchers are arranged with the venue directly.
